It was a beautiful and amazing first day showing at Jazz Fest 2012! I started the show with 40 new paintings and a redesigned display. The day was highlighted by new customers and loyal collectors! I snuck away from my booth to pick out my first Blue Maya bag by Nancy Alexander that I traded for one of my paintings. I also scored a beautiful hand-stitched Flora Zarate bag, and purchased a Michael Guidry painting of a sweet sleeping bird. By the end of the day, I had just 9 paintings left for sale in my booth and no reason not to smile. These bones ache so good and my gratitude goes out to the Jazz Fest gods and the good people, fellow artists, and musicians out there. See you again tomorrow Jazz Fest! Amen. Goodnight.
